Robbery with violence in Brendale, QLD

Police have arrested five people following an alleged robbery with violence in Brendale early this morning, Queensland Police say.

Preliminary investigations indicate at around 12:25am two groups of people in two vehicles pulled over on Old North Road, following a verbal altercation.

It will be alleged the altercation then became physical, with the 47-year-old male driver of one car being assaulted and his car stolen.

The male driver was transported to Redcliffe Hospital for treatment of serious facial injuries.

Police responded and established a cordon and patrols located five people in the Brendale area, who were taken into custody.

Investigations are continuing.
