Robbery with violence in Camp Hill, QLD

Police have charged a man following an alleged robbery with violence in Camp Hill overnight, Queensland Police say.

At around 8:20pm a man was driving along Thomas Street when he was flagged down by two men.

It will be alleged the two men dragged the man from the vehicle, assaulting him and stealing his phone and wallet before fleeing the scene on foot.

The man followed the pair in his car when, it will be alleged, the men threw a rock at his vehicle and fled again, dropping the phone and wallet.

Police attended and conducted patrols of the area and later took a man into custody at an address on Spica Street in Coorparoo.

A 36-year-old man was treated at the scene for a cut to his head.

A 17-year-old man from Parkinson has been charged with robbery with violence, unlawful entry of a vehicle and wilful damage.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
