Detectives are investigating following a robbery with violence at a shopping centre in Morayfield this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
At around 12:15pm a woman was walking in the carpark at the northern end of the shopping centre on William Berry Drive when she was approached by a man.
The man assaulted the woman before stealing her purse and fleeing the scene on foot.
The 26-year-old woman sustained minor injuries to her face during the incident but did not require medical treatment.
The man is described as approximately 185cm tall, of a slim build with a tanned complexion and was last seen wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have been travelling on William Berry Drive between 12:00pm and 1:00pm who saw anything suspicious or has dash cam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
