Robbery with violence in Nambour, QLD

Sunshine Coast detectives are investigating after a jewellery store was robbery in Nambour this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

Around 3.45pm, a man entered the business on Lowe Street and requested to look at a gold chain that was for sale.

When the female store attendant handed him the chain, he fled on foot and the woman chased the man to a carpark near an automotive store nearby.

The woman and the man then wrestled over the chain, and the man then fled to a red Toyota Camry that was parked in the car park.

Two men who were nearby ran to the car to help and tried to pull the man from the car and, during the altercation the man slammed the car door on of the mens arm.

The man in the car then alluded to the fact that he had a gun threatened the pair before he drove from the scene.

One of the men was treated for a possible fractured arm, and the other man and the woman received minor injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
