Robbery with violence in Shailer Park, QLD

Logan Detectives are appealing for information after a series of incidents that led to robbery with violence in Shailer Park last Sunday, Queensland Police say.

On January 25 a 23-year-old man met a 24-year-old woman on an online dating site. The man took the woman to his home in Shailer Park where it will be alleged she stole his wallet, car keys and car. The man reported the matter to police.

Police located the vehicle a few days later after it was involved in a traffic crash on the Pacific Highway, Loganholme.

Then on March 12 the 23-year-old man was searching an online marketplace for a car accessory when he recognised an item being sold as having belonged to his stolen vehicle.

The man contacted the seller only to learn that it was the 24-year-old woman whom he’d met on the online dating site back in January. The man attended a Marsden address to confront the woman who allegedly threatened him with a rifle.

The man left the premises and attended a police station to report the incident.

It will be alleged that while the man was making his report to police, three men entered his Shailer Park residence, assaulted the man’s two male flatmates and stole his blue and white Yamaha motorbike (pictured).

The two flatmates received minor non-life threatening injuries.

A 24-year-old Woodridge woman has been charged with three counts of threatening violence with a firearm and unlawful possession of weapons. She has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear in the Beenleigh Magistrate’s court on April 12.

A 22-year-old Woolloongabba man has been charged with two counts of deprivation of liberty and one count of enter dwelling with intent, assault occasioning bodily harm, grievous bodily harm and robbery in company with violence. He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 31.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have information who has seen the stolen motorbike to contact Crime Stoppers.
