Robbery with violence in Warner, QLD

Detectives are seeking public assistance following a robbery that occurred earlier this month in Warner, Queensland Police say.

A man entered a drive through bottle shop on Old North Road on Friday January 12 at around 9.25 pm.

The man took a carton of alcohol and when he was approached by a female bystander, an unknown man emerged from a nearby garden bed and struck her on the back of the head with a hard object.

The woman was knocked unconscious and the two men then fled the scene on foot.

She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance with a proportionate build and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts with white stripes up the side, black sneakers and had a white t-shirt covering his face.

Investigations are continuing.
