Robbery with violence, Southport

Detectives are investigating a robbery with violence which occurred in Southport last night.

At around 8:50pm, a man entered a private residence on Blake Street and assaulted three other men.

The man was armed with what is described as a metal pole and smashed glass bottles near the other three men causing injuries.

A 58-year-old man Southport man received cuts and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment. Two other men received minor injuries.

A crime scene has been established while police investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information in relation to the incident, to come forward.
