Rock thrown at truck at Darlington, SA

Police are investigating a report of rock throwing on the Southern Expressway yesterday afternoon, according to SA Police.

A truck driver has reported that he was driving south along the Southern Expressway when a rock struck his windscreen as he passed under the Seacombe Road Bridge at Darlington about 2.40pm on Tuesday 19 June.

The driver was not injured during the incident.

Police searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Zac and the police helicopter (PolAir), but did not locate any suspects.

The Southern Expressway was also searched with no rocks or items located on the roadway.

This is the 32nd rock throwing incident in the area so far this year.

Any motorists who becomes a victim of objects being thrown at their car while driving is asked to stop their vehicle when safe and contact the Police Assistance line immediately on 131 444.
