Rockliff Urged to Oppose Dutton's Plan to Cut 950 Jobs

Tas Labor

It's coming up to the two-year anniversary of when the Greens withdrew their support for Tasmania's two AFL teams.

Jeremy Rockliff needs to stand up to Peter Dutton's plan to sack more than 950 Tasmanians as part of his assault on the Australian public sector workforce.

Tasmania is already in the middle of a jobs and economic downturn under the Rockliff minority government, which has seen the Liberals lose the trust of the business community.

Thousands of Tasmanian jobs have been lost since Jeremy Rockliff lost control of the parliament and the last thing we need is Peter Dutton making it worse.

Tasmania simply can't afford to lose any more jobs, and with Mr Dutton visiting the state today, Jeremy Rockliff owes it to Tasmania to stand up to his federal leader.
