Rosemary Williamson focuses on the effect of light and colour in her exhibition that will be on display at Goombungee's Rosalie Gallery from July 30 to August 31, 2025.
The exhibition, Let There Be Light, depicts the glorious light and life of the Australian landscape.
Rosemary's recently completed body of work interrogates komorebi, a Japanese term that roughly translates as the interplay of sunlight filtering though the leaves of trees.
The oil on canvas paintings are an ode to Rosemary's obsession with capturing the beauty of nature's play on light and shadow.
"With the Darling Downs on our doorstep and within easy driving distance of the Granite Belt and the South East Queensland coastline, we are blessed with a broad overview of Australian land and seascapes which are always responding to the light source," Rosemary said.
"This body of work is a relatively new journey for me, and I am excited about the possibilities going forward."
The exhibition's Meet the Artist event will be held from 10.30am to 1pm on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
