Rosebery Streetscape Improvements: Bayside

Bayside Council's proposed upgrade to the Rosebery town centre will improve safety and liveability whilst retaining the character of the neighbourhood.

"Bayside Council is committed to revitalising and renewing our town centres," Mayor Joe Awada said.

The Rosebery streetscape upgrade includes new footpaths to accommodate alfresco dining as well as landscaping to provide shade as well as reducing heat and noise from Gardeners Road.

Council's draft concept design plan includes:

  • New pavements
  • Street furniture
  • Landscaping

Council is looking for community feedback before finalising the design plans.

Council will review all feedback.

As the area is a State-owned road the design will also require endorsement from Transport NSW.

Once final designs are approved, construction is expected to commence in February 2022.
