Community groups, clubs and organisations are invited to apply for the City of Ballarat's 2026/27 Community Impact Grants Program, with Round 1 applications open now.
The Community Impact Grants Program provides funding for projects, events and initiatives that strengthen community connections, build organisational capacity and deliver positive outcomes for Ballarat residents.
Grants of between $500 and $20,000 are available, with applications open until 29 September.
Priority will be given to projects that foster healthy, connected and inclusive communities, build community capacity or promote environmental sustainability.
City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr Tracey Hargreaves said the Community Impact Grants Program recognises the important role local community groups play across Ballarat.
"Community groups, clubs and organisations make a significant contribution to our communities and help to make Ballarat a great place to live," she said.
"The Community Impact Grants Program provides financial support to help these groups deliver projects, strengthen their organisations and continue providing valuable services, activities and opportunities across our municipality.
"I encourage eligible organisations to consider applying for a grant and take advantage of this opportunity to support the important work they do for our community."
To support applicants, the City of Ballarat will deliver three grant writing workshops in partnership with Ballarat East Neighbourhood House.

The Central Highlands Pickleball Club received a Community Impact Grant during the 2025/26 funding period. Funding supported the purchase of essential technology, delivery of coaching programs and expanded participation opportunities, including the Bush to Bay Classic tournament, which attracted more than 450 players to Ballarat.
Pickleball Pathways Head Coach, Hannah Handreck said the grant had been particularly valuable for their junior participants.
"The grant has had a tremendous impact on our coaching programs, particularly for juniors. It has allowed us to utilise quality equipment and structured coaching in an environment where every child feels welcome, supported and included," she said.
"One of the biggest barriers for families starting a new sport is the cost of equipment. Because of this funding, children can simply come along, pick up a paddle and have a go.
"We've seen young players grow in confidence, develop new skills, make lasting friendships and discover a genuine passion for the sport. This grant has helped us build a sustainable pathway for our junior players and ensure we can continue developing the next generation of pickleball players at Central Highlands Pickleball Club."
