Round 2 First Nations Heritage Grants Recipients

The results from Round 2 (2024-25) of the First Nations Heritage Grants program are out!

Seventeen projects will share over $3 million to undertake on-Country, First Nations-led activities.

The projects will identify, record and protect First Nations cultural heritage at some of our most treasured places.

The Australian Government is committed to recognising Indigenous values at our heritage-listed sites. The program is an important part of this commitment.

Round 2 applicants could apply for up to $250,000. The successful projects will now begin at several heritage-listed places including:

  • The West Kimberley, Western Australia
  • Willandra Lakes Region, New South Wales
  • Koonalda Cave, South Australia.
