Running Towards Prostate Cancer-free Future

PCFA

September was Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a time when the community affected by prostate cancer came together to raise vital funds and awareness.

PCFA would like to thank everyone who made it such a successful month.

Over 3,000 Aussies loved going the distance by covering 72kms (or even more) across September for the 72 men diagnosed each day in Australia.

Together, they covered 244,099km, which is 61 trips across Australia!

Together, The Long Run community raised over $1 million, a remarkable outcome made possible by the friends and family who sponsored their campaign.

Please keep an eye out for someone wearing a Long Run T-shirt on your next walk, run or ride!

Turning blue for prostate cancer

Many landmarks also turned blue to mark the month and raise awareness of Australia's leading cause of cancer.

Thank you to everyone who asked their local buildings, bridges, and stadiums to turn blue!

Throughout September, many different fundraisers took place across the country, from car rallies to BBQs, virtual Everest climbs, and golf days.

Every fundraiser, donation, and conversation sparked by these activities has made a real difference, and PCFA couldn't have done what we do without people like you.
