We're making improvements to the entry to two busy Brighton foreshore carparks to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
We're upgrading the shared path crossings next to The Esplanade (Beach Road) at the entry to Green Point and Middle Brighton Beach carparks in Brighton.
We will widen the shared path crossings at the entry to both carparks, improve line markings and install signage to ensure priority crossing for pedestrians and cyclists.
We will create additional space for vehicles to safely give way to pedestrians and cyclists using the shared path.
We will also upgrade lighting and drainage to meet necessary requirements.
The works are scheduled to start in July and will take approximately 3 months to complete, weather permitting. We have scheduled these works to take place during the cooler months to minimise disruption to the community.
These works support our Dendy Beach Visitor Management Plan, creating a safer more enjoyable experience for all visitors to Bayside's top tourist destination.
