Elizabeth Police have arrested a man for theft and property damage after he damaged some washing machines at a Salisbury Park laundro-mat last night, according to SA Police.
Just after 8pm on Saturday 18 March, police patrols were called to a launderette business on the corner of Dorothy Street and The Strand, after the business owner observed a man damaging a washing machine on the shop's security cameras.
Elizabeth Patrols were quick to respond and located the man still inside the launderette. The man was in possession of a screwdriver and also $7 of gold coins.
Damage caused to the washing machines is estimated about $1,000.00
The 40-year-old man from Salisbury Park was arrested and charged with property damage and theft and bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at later date.
