Salisbury to celebrate women with sold out evening featuring inspirational guest speakers

Inspirational women in the Australian Defence Force and a performance from the Military Wives Choir will feature at an International Women's Day Cocktail Evening to be held at the Salisbury Community Hub on Thursday 11 March.

The popular annual event will be hosted by the Adeladys and this year pay tribute to 100 years of service to Australia of the Royal Australian Air Force by highlighting three inspirational women in defence – Wing Commander Marika Jovanovich, Flight Lieutenant Sarah McLaren and Leading Aircraftwoman Mikaela Sim.
The evening will take place between 7pm and 9pm tomorrow and feature drinks and canapes, entertainment, door prizes and great company.
Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM said the evening was important in celebrating and profiling the achievements of remarkable women, while highlighting this year's theme, Choose to Challenge.
