Salisbury to host writers' festival

City of Salisbury is thrilled to announce that its annual writers' festival, Write Now!, will once again take place in 2023.

The one-day program is expected to bring together book lovers from across the region when it takes place on March 4 between 10.30am and 2.30pm.

Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM said the festival will feature a range of workshops on stimulating topics.

Words have the power to inspire, to bring people together and to create change. I am thrilled to welcome the upcoming Write Now! Festival. From writing fast characters and intriguing settings, to editing and selling your brand, Write Now! has something to help every budding writer embrace the power of the pen.

Professional writer and mentor Jason Fischer will facilitate three of the workshops, while Purple Giraffe's Lynda Schenk will teach attendees how to create a simple one-page marketing plan and a coding class will appeal to older children.

Tickets are available for $5 per session via Eventbrite and must be booked in advance.

Council will also stream live from the Adelaide Writer's Festival from March 6 to March 9 at the Salisbury Community Hub, with a full list of authors and screening locations to be advised.
