Samantha Power to Discuss US Efforts for LGBTQI+ Rights

On June 28 at 3:00 p.m, USAID Administrator Samantha Power will participate in a conversation with journalist and editor Jonathan Capehart on the U.S. government's efforts to advance global LGBTQI+ human rights and USAID's commitment to LGBTQI+ inclusive development. The Atlantic Council will host the discussion as part of a special Pride Month edition of the #ACFrontPage series.

The discussion with Administrator Power will focus on the challenges, progress, and opportunities of the current moment for advancing LGBTQI+ equality and inclusion, and the role U.S. development and diplomacy can play in supporting LGBTQI+ communities. It will be followed by a brief audience Q&A.
