Samsung Galaxy Note 7 "to come with an iris scanner"

- Has it been confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will come with an iris scanner?

In a series of tweets, mobile device leaker Evan Blass has seemingly confirmed the leak that it will be called the Note 7, rather than the Note 6, and a host of specifications for the device, Digital Spy said.

It will also apparently come with a 5-megapixel front camera and a 12-megapixel back camera, as well as being IP68, meaning it can survive in up to five feet of water for 30 minutes maximum and is dust-proof.

Bass also notes that Samsung will release the Note 7 in black, silver and blue colour choices.

Earlier this month, a teaser for the device showed that it could feature a curved edge display and will also skip over the Galaxy Note 6 branding to align itself with its own Galaxy S range and Apple's iPhone.

An official-looking invitation to Galaxy Unpacked also hinted that the Note 7 could be unveiled on August 2 in New York.
