Satudarah OMCG member charged over theft of excavator, NSW

A member of Satudarah outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) will face court today after being arrested on a conviction warrant relating to the alleged theft of an excavator earlier this year, NSW Police say.

In June, a 30-year-old man was charged in relation to the alleged theft of an excavator from the Windsor area.

A conviction warrant was issued for the man after he failed to appear at a scheduled court mention on Thursday 30 August 2018.

The matter was referred to Strike Force Raptor’s Fugitive Team to locate the man.

Following extensive inquiries, Strike Force Raptor, assisted by Nepean Police Area Command and the Dog Unit, arrested the 30-year-old man at a property at Luddenham about 12.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 September 2018).

Shortly after the arrest, officers commenced a Firearms Prohibition Order search at the property and seized a stolen excavator, a replica firearm, knuckledusters and about 5g of an unknown white powder.

The man, who is a member of the Satudarah OMCG, was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with the warrant, two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, use prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order, and goods suspected stolen in/on premises (vehicle).

He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Wednesday 26 September 2018).

Inquiries are continuing.
