Saudi Arabia arrests over 100 suspected terrorists

Some 101 individuals suspected of having links with terrorist organizations and involvement in terrorism-related affairs were detained in Saudi Arabia in the course of the eighth month of the Islamic calendar, the Al-Watan newspaper reported, citing its sources in the Interior Ministry.

Majority of the detainees, 62 suspects, are citizens of Saudi Arabia, while others are nationals of Syria, Yemen, Egypt, India and even Canada.

Saudi Arabia regularly conducts operations to detect extremists among the kingdom’s residents. However, the attacks against the security forces, especially in the east of the country, occur frequently.
