Leeton Shire Council invites the community to save the date for the return of Fiesta La Leeton on Saturday, 10 April 2027.
This follows the decision not to hold it in 2026, allowing Council to secure funding and ensure the festival can be delivered at the high standard the community has come to expect. It also provides greater capacity for local community groups, volunteers and event organisers, following the success of the recent Leeton SunRice Festival, to fully participate and contribute to the success of the event.
With its inception in 2023, Fiesta La Leeton remains a much-loved celebration of Leeton Shire's rich multicultural character, bringing together food, music and traditions from across the community.
Mayor Cr George Weston said the event continues to be a highlight of Leeton's annual calendar.
"Fiesta La Leeton is a vibrant celebration of the many different cultures that shape our community and an event that brings people together in a truly unique way," Cr Weston said. "We're committed to ensuring it returns in 2027 as a strong and successful event for our community and visitors to enjoy."
Council looks forward to welcoming locals and visitors back for Fiesta La Leeton in 2027, with further event details to be shared as planning progresses.
