Scholarship Applications Open for Women Leaders

In celebration of International Women's Day, we're offering two scholarships for local and emerging women leaders to equip them with the tools and confidence to drive meaningful change in Greater Geelong.

The new EmpowerHER Leadership Scholarships were announced at last night's free Women in Community Life Celebration - 11 Years of Impact event, attended by around 100 people.

The scholarships will allow recipients to attend the five-day Igniting Leadership Program , delivered by Leadership Victoria. The program commences on Tuesday 11 August and is spread over five weeks.

Attendees will build a strong leadership foundation by exploring their strengths and values, learning to navigate change and developing interpersonal skills to build trust and influence.

The scholarships are made possible with support from valued partners and sponsors including Member for Corangamite Libby Coker MP, Soroptimist International of Geelong, GMHBA, Women's Health and Wellbeing Barwon South West and Zonta Club of Geelong.

Expressions of interest are now open until 5pm on Thursday 9 April.
