School storage shed fire, police probe, NSW

Police have commenced inquiries after a fire broke out in a storage shed at a school in Quakers Hill tonight, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to the school on Bali Drive about 8.40pm (Monday 25 June 2018) where they located a storage shed well alight.

Fire & Rescue NSW officers extinguished the blaze which destroyed the shed and the sporting equipment inside.

Police from Quakers Hill Police Area Command secured the crime scene and inquiries into the cause of the fire have commenced.

Police are treating the fire as suspicious and would like to speak with anyone who may have been near the school between 8pm and 8.45pm tonight and saw anyone who may have been acting suspiciously.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
