Seach for Albert Smith continues

Police continue to appeal for public assistance to help locate missing man Albert Smith, Victoria Police say.

The 88-year-old left a medical facility on Inglis Street in Ballan about 7.30am yesterday morning.

He has not been seen or in touch with his family since.

Albert is known to hitchhike and investigators are appealing to anyone who may have seen him or given him a lift to contact police.

Police and family members hold concerns for Albert’s welfare due to his age and physical health.

Investigators believe he may travel to Mount Doran or Ballarat.

An image of Albert has been released in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his whereabouts.

Anyone who sees Albert or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Ballan Police Station on 5368 1303.
