Sturt Police are currently searching the Glenelg area after a man was seen to break into a pharmacy on Jetty Road a short time ago, according to SA Police.
Just before 6am, witnesses reported a man used a concrete block to smash the a glass panel of the front door of a pharmacy near Byron Street.
Police patrols searched the area for the suspect who was described as a man aged in his early 20's, wearing dark clothing, including a hooded coat.
The man was last seen running west on Milton Street behind Jetty Road, anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the police assistance line on 131 444.
Police are investigating and checking with the pharmacy if anything was stolen.
