Search and rescue at Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast Water Police have recommenced a search near Mudjimba Island after a man was reported missing from a jet ski yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called just after 1.30pm following reports that a man who was travelling with a friend on a jet ski in waters near Mudjimba Island fell from the vessel.

Police commenced a search yesterday afternoon utilising water police vessels, Surf Life Saving and Coast Guard vessels as well as helicopters.

The search was suspended at 5.30pm and officers have re-commenced this morning at 4.30.
