Water Police are coordinating a sea and air search for a missing 21-year-old man off Coolum Beach.
He was last seen by friends swimming near Stumers Creek Road around 4pm yesterday afternoon (March 27) where he is believed to have become stuck in a rip. Police were alerted shortly afterwards.
A search involving police resources with the assistance of Surf Life Saving crews and Coast Guard personnel has commenced in the area with search efforts so far failing to locate the man.
Anyone who may have any information which could assist in locating him is urged to contact police.
