Search at Maslin Beach, South Australia

Police and SES volunteers are conducting a search along Maslin Beach after what is suspected to be a human bone was found on Tuesday night.

A member of the public contacted police after locating the bone on Tuesday evening 16 February, while walking on the beach.

The bone has since been identified as possibly a human bone, with further forensic testing being conducted.

Southern District Police are investigating with the assistance of SES volunteers are searching the Maslin Beach area today for any other bones or signs of human remains.

Police are reviewing all existing missing persons. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
