Search for man following St Albans death

Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to following the death of a woman in St Albans last weekend, Victoria Police say.

The body of the 44-year-old St Albans woman was located inside a residential property on View Street shortly after 9am on 10 September.

Her death is being treated as suspicious and is being investigated by the Homicide Squad.

A number of people living at the property were spoken to on the night, however no one has been charged in relation to her death.

Detectives are today releasing an image of 49-year-old Phuc Thien Tang and are looking to speak to him in relation to the woman’s death.

Tang is described as being 175cm tall with a medium build, short black hair and a pockmarked complexion.

He has a tattoo of the word ‘freedom’ on his right upper arm and a tattooed map of Vietnam on his left lower leg.

Tang is known to frequent the St Albans area and rides a dark blue ‘Giant’ brand bicycle.

Police are urging anyone with knowledge of Tang’s whereabouts or who recognises him and has seen him in the local area to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
