Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing kayaker Peter Cole, Victoria Police say.
The 63-year-old Parkville man went missing overnight on Sunday and the matter was reported to police about 8am yesterday.
Police, including the Water Police, Air Wing and local police, along with the Coast Guard, SES and Volunteer Marine Rescue personnel have searched for Peter in Western Port Bay off Phillip island for the past two days.
His kayak was located with no paddles at Red Rock Point about 9.45am yesterday.
The paddle was later handed into police after it was located by a member of the public yesterday.
Police have released an image of Peter and are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen him before or while he was out kayaking.
Anyone who sights Peter is urged to call triple zero (000) and any other information can be reported to Crime Stoppers.
