Search for missing man - Upper Main Arm, near Mullumbimby, NSW

Police from Tweed / Byron Local Area Command are continuing to search for a man missing since Monday in the state’s north, NSW Police say.

Richard Daw, aged 61, was last seen about 3pm on Monday yesterday at the Maccas Camp Grounds, Upper Main Arm about 13km northwest of Mullumbimby.

Relatives of Mr Daw contacted police when he was not located in his van at the location.

A co-ordinated search was commenced yesterday today, utilising local officers and neighbouring police commands, Police Rescue (LANDSAR), SES and the Westpac Lifesaver 4 helicopter.

The search was suspended about 6pm due to darkness and rough terrain, but will resume this morning at 8am tomorrow.

Grave concerns are held for Mr Daw as he has not been taking his medication.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
