A search will recommence this morning for a man who went missing while swimming off Cape Woolomai at Phillip Island, Victoria Police say.
Surfers spotted the 28-year-old man, who appeared to be in trouble, about 5.30pm on Christmas Day.
Moments later, the Lalor man had disappeared from sight.
A search was conducted by emergency services however they were unable to locate the man.
The search will recommence this morning around the Cape Woolomai area.
Police are urging boaters and swimmers to keep an eye out for the missing swimmer.
Anyone who sees him is urged to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
