Search for missing woman in Red Hill, QLD

Police have begun a search and rescue operation in an attempt to locate a 61-year-old woman missing from Red Hill since January 24.

Toni Verra (pictured) was last seen around 8am at the intersection of Glenrosa Road and Waterworks Road.

Police issued a public appeal on January 25 and again on January 31 but so far she has not contacted family or friends.

Toni is described as Caucasian, is approximately 177cm tall, of a slim build with auburn hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a dark blue patterned top, blue jeans, dark-coloured running shoes and carrying a black handbag.

Officers from the City and Valley Bike Squads, Polair and SES personnel have conducted searches of creek and bushlands in the Red Hill area and Banks Street Reserve in Alderley.

So far, searches have failed to locate any items of interest relating to Ms. Verra.

Anyone who has seen her or has further information is urged to contact police.
