Detectives from Melton Crime Investigation Unit have released images of a person they wish to speak to following a suspicious fire in Burnside Heights last week, Victoria Police say.
It’s believed three teenagers set fire to an abandoned mattress in the Burnside Heights Recreation Reserve, just off Cunningham Chase, about 7pm on 27 December, 2017.
The fire then spread through nearby grassland before being extinguished by the CFA.
No property was directly damaged during the fire.
The trio left the scene on mountain bikes and were last seen riding along Cunningham Chase.
Detectives have released three images of one boy they wish to speak to in relation to the fire.
Anyone who recognises the boy or has further information about the fire is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
