A police search is ongoing to locate a 17-year-old male youth who escaped the custody of security officers around 8.35pm last night.
The youth absconded from a marked security vehicle in the area of Timsbury Road and Howard Road.
At the time he had handcuffs on his wrists at the front of his body and was wearing a grey hooded jumper and black trousers.
Anyone who has information in relation to the location of the youth is asked to contact police on 131 444.
The youth is not believed to be a threat to the community.
