Police are appealing for assistance from the public to find an inmate who escaped from a correctional facility in Cooma.
Dillon Mitcherson, aged 28, was last seen at the facility about 2.30pm today (Tuesday 15 July 2025).
Officers attached to Monaro Police District were notified and have been conducting inquiries to locate him.
Dillon is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, 175 to 180cm tall, with short brown hair.
Last seen wearing a green shirt and green pants. Police believe he may be in possession of what is believed to be a shiv.
Anyone who sees Dillon is urged not to approach him but to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.
