Search underway for missing elderly woman - Thornleigh

A search is underway to locate an elderly woman missing in Sydney's north-west.

Carole Woodbury, aged 81, was last seen at a home on Kooringal Avenue, Thornleigh just before 5pm today (Monday 14 March 2022).

When she could not be located, officers from Kuring-Gai Police Area Command were notified about 6.30pm and have commenced a search of the area with the assistance of the Dog Unit and PolAir.

Police and family hold concerns for Carole's welfare as she lives with dementia.

Carole is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of slim build, with fair hair.

She was last seen wearing a jacket and black plants.
