Search underway for missing girl at Picton

Police are currently searching bushland for a missing teenager west of Sydney.

Katelyn Phillis, aged 13, was last seen in Picton about 9.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 10 January 2024).

When she was unable to be contacted or located officers from Camden Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts where it is believed she may have entered bushland in the vicinity of Picton.

Commencing about 9am today (Thursday 11 January 2023), local police with support from PolAir are searching the area.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Katelyn's welfare.

Katelyn is described as being Caucasian appearance, 160cm, medium build and shoulder length blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing a pink crop top and blue shorts.

Katelyn is known to frequent the Picton, Wilton, Bargo and Tahmoor areas.

Anyone with information into Katelyn's whereabouts is urged to contact Camden Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
