Search underway for missing man at Mitchell

Police are coordinating a search for a man missing in the Arrest Creek area, near Mitchell, since yesterday (November 7).

Police investigations indicate that 35-year-old Richard Kearns was last seen about 10.30am at a property near Mitchell-Saint George Road, about 8km south of Mitchell.

Richard has not been seen or contactable since and concerns are held for his welfare as he has a medical condition.

Earlier today, police, State Emergency Services personnel and members of the public commenced a land search of the Arrest Creek area.

Richard, pictured below, is described as Caucasian, approximately 180cm tall with red hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, board shorts, thongs and reading glasses.

As part of ongoing investigations, police are appealing to Richard or anyone with information regarding his current whereabouts to come forward immediately.
