The body of a man has been recovered by Police Land Search and Rescue at Mount Lancelot, Arthur's Pass.
Emergency services were alerted to a report of a missing man when a personal locator beacon was set off around 7:20pm yesterday.
The body, found today around 3:35pm, is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be that of the missing man.
