Second Child Dies After Parwan Fatal Rollover

A second child has died overnight following a single vehicle fatal rollover in Parwan yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the incident near the intersection of Nerowie and Parwan-Exford roads just before 4pm.

A female driver and seven children were inside the eight-seater 4WD, which rolled and came to a stop on grass between the road and a paddock.

Paramedics worked on a seven-year-old girl, but she sadly died at the scene.

An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries.

He died in hospital overnight.

Five other children were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 34-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for observation.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances.
