Second man arrested for murder at Edwardstown

Detectives have arrested a second man following a suspicious death at Edwardstown in December.

Police and paramedics attended Dunorlan Road just before 9.30pm on Sunday 11 December after a man with a gunshot wound was found lying on the roadway.

Detectives from Major Crime Investigation Branch and Southern District CIB, along with Forensic Response officers attended and examined the scene.

The 41-year-old man was rushed to the Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition but was pronounced deceased a short time later.

At around 11pm, Monday 12 December, Detectives attended at Park Holme address and arrested a 44-year-old man from Ascot Park who Is known to the victim. He was charged with murder and has been remanded in custody until 5 April.

Today Major Crime Detectives arrested a 43-year-old man from Victoria. The arrest is as a result of examining CCTV and speaking to numerous witnesses.

The man has been refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
