A second man has been charged following an investigation into offensive behaviour on a pedestrian bridge at Bondi Beach earlier this year.
Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command and Operation Shelter commenced an investigation after receiving complaints about the actions of two men on the Campbell Parade bridge about 7pm on Saturday 31 January 2026.
Police were told one man was allegedly mimicked firing upon people near the bridge.
Following inquiries, on Wednesday 4 February 2026, a 23-year-old man was arrested in Coogee and has appeared before the courts.
Following further inquiries, yesterday (Wednesday 28 April 2026), police attended a supermarket on Kiaora Lane, Double Bay, and arrested a 23-year-old man on an outstanding warrant.
He was taken to Surry Hills Police Station where the warrant was executed, and he was charged with behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal).
The man was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 6 yesterday (Wednesday 28 April 2026), where he was granted conditional bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday 20 May 2026.
