A second man has been charged after more than 300kg of illicit drugs were seized following an investigation into large-scale drug supply across Sydney's south-west.
Strike Force Grassy was established by officers attached to the Central Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad (South) to target alleged known offenders involved in enhanced indoor cannabis cultivation.
Following inquiries, on Tuesday 15 April 2025, officers executed a search at a home on Birdwood Avenue, Cabramatta.
During a search of the premises, police seized 311kg of cannabis which has an estimated potential street value of $2,058,000. Police also located cocaine with an estimated potential street value of $125,700, as well as $2100 cash.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains before the court.
Following extensive inquiries, about 2pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 December 2025), Highway Patrol officers arrested a 45-year-old man following a vehicle stop on Elizabeth Drive, Cecil Hills.
He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with Supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity.
The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 today (Thursday 25 December 2025).
