Second Man Charged Over Stabbing At Bankstown

A second man has been charged following an alleged stabbing in Bankstown yesterday.

About 2.30pm yesterday (Saturday 6 December 2025), emergency services were called to North Terrace, Bankstown, near Lady Cutler Avenue, following reports of an assault.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command and the Police Transport Command attended and located a 55-year-old man with a stab wound to his torso.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition. His injury is not considered life-threatening.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident was commenced.

A short time later, a 27-year-old male was arrested nearby and taken to Bankstown Police Station.

He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and custody of knife in public place.

He remains before the Courts.

Following further inquiries by Bankstown Detectives, about 3.40pm today (Sunday 7 December 2025), an 18-year-old man was arrested at a house on Kensington Street, Punchbowl.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with affray and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

He was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court tomorrow (Monday 8 December 2025).
