Second man charged with 2008 Queanbeyan murder, NSW

A second man has been charged over the 2008 murder of a man in the state’s south, NSW Police say.

The body of 46-year-old Danny Ralph was located by police divers in the Queanbeyan River on Sunday 30 March 2008.

Police allege Mr Ralph was assaulted after leaving a licensed premise on Monaro Street sometime between 3am and 5am on Saturday 29 March 2008.

Detectives from Monaro Police District established Strike Force Potch to investigate the circumstances surrounding the suspicious death.

A 35-year-old man has previously been charged by investigators.

Just after 1pm yesterday (Wednesday 31 October 2018), a man, also aged 35, attended Queanbeyan Police Station.

He was arrested and charged with murder.


The Queanbeyan man has been refused bail to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court today (Thursday 1 November 2018).
