Second man charged with rural crime offences - Orana Mid-Western

A second man has been charged following an investigation into rural crime related offences in the state's Central West.

Between Saturday 2 January 2021 and Tuesday 5 January 2021, a quad bike, trailer and power pack were stolen from a property in the Piambong area, near Mudgee.

Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District and the Rural Crime Prevention Team were notified and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A 57-year-old man was arrested earlier this year and charged with a number of rural crime and traffic offences and remains before the courts.

Following extensive inquiries, officers arrested a 24-year-old man on Monday (10 August 2021), at a home at Wellington and was taken to Wellington Police Station.

He was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal

The man was formally bail refused at Dubbo Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 11 August 2021) and will reappear before Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday 18 August 2021.
