Second person charged after cruise ship assault, NSW

Another person has been charged over an alleged assault on a cruise ship, NSW Police say.

About 12.55am on Sunday 11 February 2018, a fight between several men and a woman took place on board the ship after an argument about a toilet line queue, during which a 21-year-old man was struck on the head with an empty wine bottle.

Security separated the men and they were detained. The man with the injury was treated by medical personnel on board.

On Sunday 11 February 2018, six men, including the injured man, and a woman, were removed from the ship at Bradley’s Head.

A 37-year-old woman was charged with reckless wounding and affray and is before the courts.

Yesterday (Thursday 1 March 2018), a 40-year-old man, who is known to the woman, was charged with affray.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 18 April 2018.

Marine Area Command investigators are continuing inquiries.
